Shearing time is here. Save the Date!

This year's wacky weather has caused the fleeces on our girls to start rising earlier than last year. We are fortunate that our shearer is available and has been able to fit us in on short notice.

We now have a firm date for shearing on Saturday, February 6th, 8:30 AM. If you are interested in purchasing a fleece or an animal from us, this is a great time to get up close and personal with the flock. We also always welcome an extra set of hands if you are inclined to get involved. Sweepers, equipment holders, door openers, fleece folders and sheep wranglers are always in need.

Shearing is a rain or shine event since we will all be in the barn.
Coffee and some breakfast munchies will be available.

Please RSVP if you would like to join us.

If you hang around after the girls are done being shorn, you can watch (or help) with the ugly sweater fitting! Once sheared, we fit the girls with recycled wool sweaters to help keep them warm for a few weeks until they grow a little bit of their 2017 fleeces.

We love our girls and want them to be as comfy as possible.
It is February after all!

Please RSVP if you would like to attend.
