Summer Happenings

It's been a busy summer so far! We sold out of peaches quickly last weekend but there are still more on the tree we will harvest tomorrow. I hope to have enough to fill the cooler again to put out on Saturday. Swing by early to make sure you get some before they are gone!

We still have two amazing lambs for sale from this year's crop. Both are Shetland black. One is a spot carrier and the other has UK genetics. Both are friendly and have spectacular conformation. I really can't find a fault with either of them. They will be both great breeding and fiber producing animals.

We also have put one moorit yearling ewe up for sale as well. Truffle will be ready for the breeding pen this fall. Her fleece is dense, butter soft and her friendly personality will make some hand spinner very happy! See our sale page for more detailed information on all 3 of these girls.

We have also been fortunate enough to purchase some new breeding stock from one of the best Shetland breeders in the country - Windswept Farms. We feel so lucky to have been able to add such beautifully conformed ewes to our flock! Each has a different lock structure and handle to their fleeces which makes them even more fun. Check out our flock page to see pictures and look for amazing lambs from them in 2017!

Peaches Anyone?

We are having a bumper crop of peaches this year! Unfortunatly we had to pick a little early since the branches are starting to weaken and break from the weight of all the fruit. They will ripen up nicely by the weekend.

We will have several bags of peaches available in a cooler out with the eggs this coming weekend. Some of the fruit is a little small, but this tree has never seen a pesticide.  The variety is New Haven. Come grab some while they last!

Come visit us on July 4th!

What a great weekend to celebrate the 4th of July here in New England. The weather is finally looking clear and we can all enjoy some outdoor festivities! For us, we are excited to have been invited back for our 3rd year participating in the Amherst, NH 4th of July Celebration!

On the village on July 4 there will be a parade with bands, floats, antique cars, N.H. Revolutionary and Civil War Regiments, marchers, clowns and more. Events on the village green will include an Art Show, craft demonstrations, children’s games, animals, booths of local organizations, food, a reviewing stand ceremony, clowns, pocket ladies, an Irish dance demonstration, robotics and more!

Edencroft Farm will have a table display of various small wool items along with a pen with two of this years lambs that you can meet. One of which is for sale. Come by for a visit!

Lambing Season is Complete

We had a busy lambing season this year!  It has been hard to decide who to keep and who to sell, but we have decided on these adorable set of twins.

The white lamb is a ram and the black is a ewe. UK genetics and prize winning fleeces are in their bloodlines. Very good to excellent conformation, so they will be great addtions to any breeding program. (Or as wonderful pets for fleece too!)

We also have some fantastic yearlings and an adult for sale as well.

Check out our sale page for more information.

Save The Date!

 Happy 2015 everyone!

We haven't posted often in 2014, so wanted to get an early jump on that for this year by sharing an announcement. We have our 2015 shearing date, February 14th! Shearing will start at 2 PM.

Coffee and treats will be served. If you would like to purchase a fleece, this is a great time to do it. We will have the skirting table, scale and bags at the ready, all unreserved fleeces will be available as they come off the sheep.

Guests are always welcome and any extra helping hands on that day are always appreciated.

Now, let's keep our fingers crossed for a bit of warmer weather during that time!
